For myself, I think I'll save the cash. I have plenty of other material in bass clef to read.The computer apps sound interesting, but since I don't have an ipad or newer smart phone this won't happen anytime soon.Jonathan mentions an interesting perspective on the horn players.My first instrument was sax and I transpose from C for fake books. I would have taken it for granted that everyone else would as well.My sax teacher from way back stressed transposing from C and suggested I buy the fake books in C, as that's 'what all the pros do.'
